What is this?

I thought just for fun I would ask you if you know what this is? Give you a hint - it's one of my gardening projects! No cash prizes unfortunately, but I will be impressed with your knowledge.

@chunhoong(50) thanks for your curiosity! Obviously not too many people know! I thought so. These are plants from a desert in South Africa. They camouflage themselves, so that animals can't eat them. They look like little stones, and they are known as living stones. Their botanical name is lithops. They have a very interesting life cycle, and I love my little lithops collection. I have a video on you tube under my website name about them, and how to grow them, because they are very fussy! I am presently making another video about their life cycle.

@VickiJW - we call them Elephant feet succulents in my area - they look just like an Elephants foot underneath

We call them Lithops (the living stones), they are succulent plants. I have always liked those small plants.

@VickiJW I remember that this is the first gift I made to my husband, when we were still only friends. He wanted a small succulent plant for his office and I bought a pot of Lithops.
