Chinese language learning opportunity. accept or not?

hey myLot-ians. :) Hope all of you will be in great health. There is a course being offered in Chinese language at my University. I am interested in learning languages because i plan to move out of the country for higher studies. I have been trying to learn German for a year on and off, and i learned a bit (though i am not proud of my German Skill). But now there's an opportunity to start learning Chinese. Now I am wondering is that, should i jump into learning another language? I have heard that it's quite difficult language. Give me suggestions.
