I have a friend who has this insane habit of bragging about everything that he buys or does. He just won't shut up until he has absolutely proved that he is the far more "superior being" compared to any of us "common folks". There are very few things that annoy me. Showing off is one of them. Upto a certain point its okay. But after that I can't take it anymore. But there are ways that I can drive him mad. The trick is to downplay whatever(however great it be) that person says. Here are a few examples - - If someone brags you about his new iphone, just ask him what company's iphone is it - Nokia or Samsung? - I had a friend who won't ever stop bragging about his prestigious college St Xaviers, so I deliberately pronounced it as St.Zavers college everytime to annoy him. That look on his face was priceless. - If someone comes to you bragging about something, listen to his complete tale. After he is finished talking, just say , "I am sorry I wasn't listening. Could you just repeat whatever you said just now?". If he repeats his story again, you repeat your question again. I am usually not so impish. This discussion is an exception , but hey never mind. Do you guys have any suggestions like this?
