I recommend "Horns" with Daniel Randclife, it's a good movie based on a book(If I remember well), there's also Ghibli Studio animations, they are all really good and emotional, they are very famous even outside of japan, and all of then are "magical", they are also good for kids, but I don't see why an adult can't watch then, you should try then out!

@gudheart oh don't try Grave of the Fireflies if you're gonna watch any Ghibli animation. That movie is downright depressing for me. Unless you go for such movies...

@owstalaga Grave of the Fireflies? I think I haven't watched it yet... Only Howls Moving Castle, Laputa castle in the sky, Neko no Ongaeshi(Something like cat kingdom), Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away(my favorite by far), Tales from Earthsea and Tonari no Totoro.
Oh... just saying the names wanna make me watch then again...

Oh. Hm... I'm not one to watch drama or emotional movies so I can only give you old ones in the hope you haven't seen them yet.
I recommend What Dreams May Come (Robin Williams) or you can rewatch Forrest Gump (Tom Hanks) if you've already seen it. I did watch it some days ago and it made me cry at some point.

@gudheart Oh boy I cried buckets in RW's movie... But that was like a decade ago, not sure if it would make me cry that hard now.

@owstalaga I might give a try then. I am not sure I want a movie that makes me cry too much though LOL.

I know what you mean. I enjoy a good horror movie but I do like a good romance and drama also. There is a lot out there. If you wanted a older one I could name many, newer ones don't interest me much. Hope you find something that is entertaining. Twelve Years A Slave is rather new and a real good movie. True story too.

@gudheart That is one reason I like the older films best. Movies made in the 30's and 40's have more substance and tradition than what they make now days.

I'm not sure about new ones, but my all-time favorite is Law Abiding Citizen. If you like suspense-thriller then you'd probably like that one. If you like drama, The Shawshank Redemption is a good one.

im not the person to ask, i am not that into movies and if i AM in the mood to watch one, its usually a comedy. i dont know if you;ve seen midnight in paris, thats really good, but its not emotional or dramatic by any means. there is some romance in it and beyond that its very well done :)

I guess it all depends on what you've already seen. I saw one one on way back from the States called "The age of Adaline" it's a romanic one with a really good story, well at least I thought so, just mine kind of movie. Don't tell everyone lol.
