My Photos are my Treasures

Responding to some writings I have done in the past regarding all my old photos of news-paper articles of my family, I do believe that our photos are our treasures and have the ability to take us back in time with every opening of the Photograph tin lid; or the Facebook; or the Albums that are stacked high in the back of the cupboard. I have taken to scanning all my photos that I possibly can find of my past onto the computer and burning them to DISC. This way I can preserve them if they get destroyed or fade with time. I even have them stored on my Apple ICloud for in case.
What precautions have you taken to make sure that your treasures are not lost?

I have done the same as you backed them up on a hard drive and scanned all my pre digital photos.... I look at them quite often....
