I Think He Finally Died

There is a neighbor that had a outside dog for as long as I can remember. He was a black mut who was medium in size. He always stayed around the yard of it's home, and occasionally would walk around a few neighbor's yards. As he got older, he went through a mean streak barking at anybody who walked by and even scared some kids. So, for a short while the neighbors kept him tied around a tree. But, then he got real old and mellow, so they let him roam the yard more. That dog, was so old. He had to be around 18 years old. Then, recently, we have not seen the dog anymore. He obviously died of old age.

I am sad to hear it Anne. That is quite old for a dog. You will miss seeing him I am sure.

I like how you wrote that. Hovered over the story for a while. You are describing some people to a tee.

It seems he must have had a decent life to have lived so long.

I think it's cruel to have a dog live outside all the time. That is actually a sad story. Dogs are extremely loyal animals and need love, lots of love. I would never have a dog live outside.

bless his heart, what a pity to tie a creature to a tree. there's reasons pups change to such behavior 'n more humane ways to correct such. i hope his passin' was peaceful.
