I know someone who has just come out as transgender. This person is 18 and just came out as gay last year. I know and care about this person and want him to be sure that he is truly transgender. He has actually shown no signs of wanting or relating better to being female in all of his life. How is a person to know if this is for real or a confused teen? If he is honestly transgender then that is who he is but if it is just a phase it would be sad for him to make changes in his life that cannot be reversed. Also why would he say he was gay last year and now transgender? I am confused and maybe there are others out there who have experienced the same thing. To note-this person also said he liked girls up until he was 16, he talked about them and liked to look at pretty girls so him being gay was a shocker too. He was very heavy from 11-16 years old. Was teased by other kids too.
