Breakfast Makes the Morning Easier

A lot of experts agree Breakfast is the most important meal for the day. I'm not sure how much I would stack it's importance up more so than lunch or dinner. One thing I have to say is having some breakfast makes those long mornings run a bit more smoothly. I know I can deal with a lot more nonsense with food in my belly, than without it. And I'm certain many people will attest to the fact I'm a lot easier to deal with after I've been fed, then going without breakfast. It doesn't have to be much, some cereal, some fruit, a nice glass of milk, and I'm good to go. Just something to get me through the morning. Guess it's all down timing and making sure you get up on time to eat breakfast. One could argue how important breakfast is, but it can make the day run smoother.

Talk about an interesting perspective on things. Dinner can be a mixed bag, and often times, a real free for all of what you have. Especially when you are busy after a long day of work and just need to whip something together.

I wish I'm more disciplined when it comes to breakfast. I usually have brunch more often than I have breakfast, although not very late. When I do have a big breakfast I tend to skip lunch altogether and I don't like doing that. I kind of like lunch more than breakfast for some reason.

Sometimes it takes a lot of training to remember to get the meals. It took a lot of fine tuning, but I'm on a schedule. Heaven forbid something happens to throw the schedule off at all. Lunch can be a more satisfying meal at times, although it doesn't set the tone for the day breakfast does for me.

@megamatt I agree. It's just that time of the day, I think? And the fact that you're having the meal at the time before you start having to worry about work and everything else on that day too, I guess.

I have never been much of a breakfast person as I never feel hungry when I get up :( It is really important to have a healthy breakfast though so I try too.

I used to be one of those people who skipped breakfast and got through the morning with just coffee. Then I started to eat breakfast and felt so much better. As you said, it doesn't even have to be something big.

I agree. I tend to have only a bowl of cereal for breakfast. I wish I had time (or the energy) to make some eggs and bacon.

breakfast is my first thought when i wake up, but it's not big, just bread with a protein filling and my morning mug of instant coffee with milk, sugar and milo. breakfast to me is like gas. sure i can still go about my day, but not for long, so why not start with something substantial so i don't have to stop to fill up?

Some mornings I want to eat when I get up, others not so much. When I worked I never age breakfast, and hardly ever ate lunch...that's why I was thin back then!

I skipped breakfast, then I got in the habit of having breakfast. It helps along the way.

I think basically the first meal is the most important meal of the day. People get up at different times. It is important to get those nutrients flowing through the bloodstream.
