I heard some funny news today while reading some entertainment news about Demi Lovato. She was asked a question about what she considers to be her favorite dish ( As in favorite food choice), she replied by saying Mugs! This made me laugh, but I think it could have been her just joking around, what do you think? https://youtu.be/-dRGai2Y050 Video Credit: Youtube What4u https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dRGai2Y050

I don't know... maybe she is just a bit on the not so smart side. Then again, you could be right. Maybe it was just a joke for attention. Celebrities do love the attention, good or bad!

LOL it was quite funny, so it was a good joke. Although her facial expression made it look like she was being serious.

@Angelee_27 it could have been a culture thing, maybe in US they are not aware of what dish means in the UK...favourite dish means favourite food.

I'm sure she was just joking. She's probably been asked that one so many times that she thought it up..

True, it can be so boring coming up with the same answers again and again.

Is she blonde or just truly trying to be amusing? I like some the old interviews with Robin Williams. Groucho Marx always had something funny to say.

Robin Williams was a funny guy. Who is that second person you mentioned? An actor?

I am pretty sure that this was just a joke and the reported did not even understand.

I think it was most likely a clever play on words. And when one is saying something clever, a deadpan look is key to the joke. It's possible she is just stupid, and it's possible that the reporters are stupid for thinking she was serious. I think it's the latter.

I guess we won't really know if she meant it as a joke or not. I have my doubts now after re watching the video.

I would goo with your second opinion that its usually for grabbing the attention as the 'celebrity' status is generally linked to the media attention and fame only!! Although some celebrities are genuinely stupid too :D

LOL There are some that say the stupidest of things. I think this one was either a culture difference of a joke.
