I have been teaching for the past 27 years and on this year, my 28th year, I have experienced a not so pleasant behaviour from a fellow teacher. In our school we have two chimes between classes. The first chime is a signal that the class must be dismissed and the second chime (five minutes after the first chime) is a signal for the start of a next class. The unpleasant behaviour is this. The teacher of the next class will just enter my room even though I am still fixing my things on the table. She would not even say "may I enter?". As for me I don't enter a room if the teacher before my class is still inside.

@SIMPLYD, I think @factorial has his reasons for not saying those things. I believe this teacher has been waiting for factorial since June (start of classes). Maybe factorial always leaves his class late that's why the teacher can no longer control themselves and enter the room without his permission. Well, we can never tell.

@factorial, this reminds me of my first 2 years of teaching. This male teacher entered the room and had a very loud voice and addressed me by my first name. I was so shocked that I immediately told him he should not call me by my first name in front of my class and should not enter without my permission. This became a big issue in our school. Others said I did the right thing and some said I should have ignored such behavior because our students were watching us.
I never thought this teacher will do such a shocking thing that no one could imagine he'll do because he's such an arrogant one. He washed my right foot during our retreat. Before he was able to do that, I think I made him wait for 2 minutes. Everyone was in awe. Me? I was so shy! I never had my pedicure for I think more than 3 weeks and I think I forgot to put foot powder. That's the reason why I can't remove my shoes. I don't know if he smelled something bad. After that incident, we became civil with each other but I can never forget my foot. I always wanted to ask him if my foot smelled bad but I never had a chance. It's been a decade now. I think I never smelled anything bad but I'm not sure

He is truly not a gentleman for he called you with a loud voice while you were still with your students.

@factorial, and also teachers are not called by their first name. We always adress teacher as mam, miss, mister and the like.

You should talk to her as it's rude.

Hmm, that's not very professional. I know I would knock first before entering, as that is how I would like them to do with me. It's a bit rude.

I think it would be a good idea to explain you do not like it. I mean tell her in a nice way. She is either very rude or she doesn't actually realise that what she is doing is rude. Sometimes people aren't aware that what they are doing is annoying to other people.
