I've Just Discovered the Edit Button

Okay, it's taken me nearly a week of being here every day, but I've just realised there's an edit button here. I guess I'm a bit slow on the uptake, because many sites have one now.
I usually try to edit my discussion starter before I post it, but I do miss the odd thing sometimes.
But what I'm most delighted about is that I can edit my responses and comments. I don't know about you, but sometimes I dash these off, press the button, then realise I forgot to check it. Now I'm getting into the habit of taking a second look, but if I do miss something I can fix it.
Even better, when I put my comment in the wrong place, as I have done a couple of times, I think I can delete it . So much learning in such a short time!
Do you make use of edit and delete?

I rarely use the delete button. I've occasionally edited my posts for typos or minor grammatical errors, but those features are relatively new since they were added when the new layout came out in 2013. I'm still in the habit of double-checking posts as I write them because I spent six and a half years here when we weren't able to do anything after the fact.
When I do add more to a post, I mark it with ETA (edited to add). It's partly a habit I picked up hanging out on another forum for the last couple of years, and partly because I want other members to be able to tell that I've added more to the original post.
ETA: I completely forgot about the issues with trying to make part of a word bold...

I've already used both buttons. I once posted a comment in a wrong tab (wrong discussion) and I deleted. And it has happened a lot of times to make some mistake in discussions I start or on comments I make.

It took me a lot of time and some prompting by a few Mylot buddies, to discover the, 'discussions' grey pencil which rests on the right end of the Mylot toolbar.

I certainly have, and I am glad we can do that now. I went to my old discussions and deleted the ones that are no longer pertinetnt to me, and as far as the edit is concerned, I do use it when posting responses or comments, espeically if I have made typing errors. They are great to have, but they should be used properly.
