El Nino

So apparently, there is a weather system which will affect the entire earth in the coming months. Europe will be blanketed with snow. America will be flooded. And other places will end up in drought.
Is this just scaremongering? i.e. are the powers that be just trying to scare us so as they can increase prices on things like insurance?
What are your thoughts on it?

I think they are trying to make us prepare in case it is so indeed. For the past months , here in some places in the Philippines it has been so hot . Dams are way below the leve what they should be . They said it's El Niño . Thankfully , for the past days , it is raining when afternoon comes . That way , our evenings are a lot more fresher than before where it is so hot !

There does appear to be a lot of weather activity around the Pacific right now. Maybe it is a sign of things to come.
