ive been feeling a little down on myself lately, in somewhat of a funk. so i figured id focus on some of my accomplishments instead of the failures.
i have had my strong moments. i went to college in a totally new city (boston) when i was 18, even though i had never been really independent in nature before. i graduated with honors, and even worked in the city (nyc) at an internship, commuting back and forth for over a year. these are all things that were out of my comfort zone, but that i was able to push myself to do.
my biggest accomplishment, though, has definitely been in weight loss. at one point, i had lost 100 lbs from my highest weight (i started exercising and eating healthy when i went off to school). it was a really long commitment i made to myself, and it wasnt easy.
im still struggling with my weight and body image, and sometimes i forget all of these things i have done and how i CAN push myself, if i have confidence.
what is your biggest accomplishment(s)?

I am in awe of your accomplishments Lauren! You are great friend!
I think my best accomplishment is having survived a lot of bad situations..it took quickness, good reflexes and an intuition that I have. I am blessed to be here.

got the courage up to walk out of a bad relationship and move on, have lost 50 pounds (50 to go, but hey 50 is still big), and still manage to walk out the door to go to work despite pretty nasty panic attacks and anxiety.

We humans are pretty fragile at times, almost a bundle of nerves. Sometimes it is really tough to shake off the blue beetles of self doubt and worry.

@sprinklesare4winners that was probably the hardest thing I had and have ever done. it's where all of the panic attacks and anxiety issues came from. I did it, fell apart for awhile, and now see myself as a vase that had been shattered and glued back together. Yeah, I am back to being functional, but some scars, and glue lines will never go away.

That is a great way of getting the blues off your back, and pepping your self up, for better things.

I would have to agree with @Rosekitty that raising my 2 children, mostly alone, was the greatest and most rewarding thing I have ever done.

I'm having a hard time with this one. Nothing is coming to mind. I will have to think about this during the day. Maybe it's my mood lol.

That is good that you have stuck to being helalthy and eating the right foods. I have been doing that for the last ten years to help my husband loss weight.

Weight loss - 100 - good for you!
My accomplishment is actually mine and my husband's...we were able to quiet work at ages 53/57, sell our home up north, move south and live debt free.

@sprinklesare4winners We didn't retire - we quit working...big difference...no where near Social Security age back then.
