If You Could Only Pick 4 Food Items

We had fun with this question some years ago so I thought I'd try it here at myLot. If you had to choose only 4 foods to live on for a month, what would they be? Condiments (like butter, sauces, seasonings) are a freebie. I would choose eggs, broccoli, bread and potatoes. I think I could do a lot with those. What would be your choices?

Hi, I would say pasta, rice, pizza and SPAM. I probably will get attacked for mentioning the good old SPAM...Hahaha

All that fruit - so good for you. I'm more a vegetable than a fruit person but I do love my biscuits and gravy.

@suziecat7 Oh wow, I think I would die without red meat. Actually I understand, there are quite a few people who don't eat red meat.

@choccolatte Oh that is funny. So maybe you can slip it into his diet, without him even knowing it.

For a month, I believe that pasta, bread tomatoes and eggs will be perfect.

I love tomatoes and hate leaving them out of my foursome. But I really like broccoli too.

Good choices! You can make a lot of different things with those ingredients. Tomato sandwiches, egg sandwiches, pasta and tomato. Those are all things that I grew up on, haha!

Well right now, my boyfriend and I are living off Ramen only! However, if I could pick four, I'd say chicken, mixed veggies, cream of chicken soup, and pie crust. Guess what I'd be having everyday for a month!

Just in case, I thought I'd ask if those frozen packages of mixed veggies could be counted as one? K, if so the the other three would be eggs, pasta and salsa.

I think I'd choose eggs, potatoes, canned tomatoes and frozen peas. But a little meat thrown in would help.

Going from my college days, I have to say Ramen Noodles are high on the list. Green Beans, Bread, Chicken. I'd be pretty sick up chicken all the time, but I've gone months on end with mainly ramen in the past, so I'm confident it would be easy.

Ramen Noodles certainly can fill you up. You could add the chicken and green beans to it for a hardy soup.

@suziecat7 Yes, that's why I chose those, for the sake of combining them. If seasonings are a freebie, there are lots of possibilities.

I think I will consider the drink at first. I don't want to feel thirsty. Therefore I will choose the soda at first. It can also bring me energy. After that, I will choose pizza, potato chips, instant noodles and steak. As they are all my favorite food and I will not be starved to have them everyday.
