The emergency number in Australia is 000, however they have made it now that if you dial 911 you will be diverted to 000 as they had too many people dialling the american number after the show emergency 911 was aired here.

In India its 100 for Police.
Also it’s great Idea to a common number of emergency for World but I don't think its possible for all countries due to their economy and surround environment.

It is 911 in the United States for everything (though many cities have a police non-emergency number as well).

Well, I think that can be done but it would be so much hassle considering that many countries have already established their own emergency number. But we do have a worldwide number for emergency. That number can be dialed using any mobile phone even without a sim card. You can try it out with your mobile phone and there is no charge at all. That number is 112. One you dial that number, it will direct you to your national number for emergency. Like if your are in the United States and you dial 112 it will advise you to call 911 or direct you to 911. If you are in other countries, then it will direct you to the country's Emergency Medical Services Number.
