Clearing The Notifications and Suggestions

I love it that I have cleared out all the old and done notifications , since last weekend , after about more than 30 minutes .
Now , , whenever I open my account , I know that those in my notifications are those that I wasn’t able to see while I was away .
Same goes to my suggestions .
So every time I am done with some notifications and have chosen the suggestions I don’t like I delete them . And when I am done with those suggestion I like , I delete them too.
Neat !

I don't clear notifications, they are useful for me to jump to an old discussion, and they are automatically deleted by the system after 7 days. Not deleting them, I miss times to times a comment or a response, especially when I check them in the morning when I have a lot : nobody is perfect.
I have not deleted the suggestions, but I will probably do it soon to keep only the last ones until I have responded to the suggestions I would like to respond to.

I also delete those Notifications which merely informs me that a user has 'liked' my post and those where some post has been suggested and I've attended to that suggestion. I agree with you that if our mail box has lesser number of notifications, we could ascertain which are the current ones, else we get lost in the sea of notifications.

Yes, you are right that seeing too many notifications makes me feel jittery

I never bother with notifications, I don't have that kind of time. I knock down all suggestion because they are redundant..I would have already responded to those posts if those people regularly interact with me. I do look at an odd suggestion here or there.

Yes, I've never seen it as I delete all of them, but people say that they "disappear" after a few days.

I clear out all mine every day..post to the suggests and notifications and then delete the suggests after i'm done..I quit suggestion my discussions cause it seemed to upset people so now if you try to find my newest discussions you have to find them in Most recent..

@Rosekitty That happens when we don't peek in here even for a day . It just means the mylotters are so interactive .

I do mine the first thing when I come in, and I delete them as I go, so I don't get mixed up, as I end up going back to the same discussion I just did. It is much easier for me to do one notification, go back and delete it when done, and go on to the next one.

I love the way MyLot does the notifications and these suggestions. I like that we can delete them after we read them and comment. Unlike other sites I use, their notifications stay there. They just grey them out. They all should give the option to delete.

I usually open some tabs (like 5 or 6) and then delete those notifications. And I keep doing that until I've cleared/taken care of all the notifications. Same with suggestions.

I delete things as I go. I hate to have all that clutter on my screen. I guess in some ways I have a OCD, cause if I don't delete it, it tends to drive me crazy.

@SIMPLYD Seeing the 'numbers' are just as bad at times.

I make it a habit to delete a notification as soon as I checked it. I find them too overwhelming if I just let all of them pile there.
