I am talking about people in developing countries like India. Many people put on airs when they are behind the steering wheel of a car. Rich people in developing countries can flaunt luxury cars and that is not the case here. In countries where population is more and the roads are poor, a jeep is more convenient and suited. I am saying this because the word car evokes a feeling of pride, awe, prestige and a car is also a symbol of one's entry into fun with ladies. Some people said to me that if I want to flirt, I must have a car. Is that right?

yes, I agree with your opinion. In many developing countries, the car is a symbol of prestige that indicate success. It is reasonable but misguided because it only shows the narrow view the meaning and function of the car as the vehicle

Here in our place, the urban Metro Manila, owning a car is actually a necessity that's why we tried to have 2 cars - one for me and one for my wife. I feel rich because a car is a status symbol here that only the middle class and the rich can afford to buy new cars.
