Beliefs are the filters of Reality

There are many people in the world whom we meet and they leave a lasting impression on our lives for good or for bad. Someone would tell you something, which you start believing and then pursue your life in that direction. I remember one of my colleagues who told me about his neighbour who left his wife , while believing a priest. He met the priest in Benaras during one of his trips with friends. The priest told him that his wife would ruin his life and he should leave her. He also told him that his wife would cheat on him very soon. Once he returned , he started believing the priest and would doubt his wife while he was away. So much so that he hired someone to spy her. The wife was the best person , but unfortunately had to succumb to her husband's wishes. She left him , eventhough she loved him very much. Hence the reality is blinded by such beliefs.
