US Deaths From Rx Drugs More Than Auto Accidents

This topic came to my attention a year ago, from a comment made by a detective who comes into our office. Secondly, I started reading "Dreamland" by Sam Quinones about the history of Mexican black tar heroin trafficking and the development of opiate drugs in the US. And thirdly, a blog I follow recently published ( ) "How To Break Our Centuries Old Love Affair With Opium And Other Narcotics". We seem to be guided away from natural remedies for or prevention from painful inflammatory conditions caused by processed foods, unhealthy oils and sugar. Our doctors are as well, subject to even more pressure than we are by face-to-face interactions with drug reps. Have you noticed attention on this topic?

I'm not a big fan of taking too much pills, but if it is necessary, what can we do?
