There are two things that define my life. Comedy and horror. Which kind of makes sense because if you've ever heard about my love life you would know it usually ends in either blood or laughter.
That's why this weekend should be pretty good (at least by my low standards). In addition to writing fart jokes, I have my own horror related website for over a year now. I usually preview and review indie movies, books, conventions, etc. One of the perks are free screeners. When people make a horror film, they want reviews. So they send out free links for reviewers in exchange for those reviews.
This weekend I have two to watch and I've written about them before they were wrapped. One is called "Clinger". And the other is "Model Hunger" from the always talented scream queen Debbie Rochon. Should be a lot of fun!
Anyone else love horror films? Any favorites? My website is if you're interested. :)
Scream Queen Jessica Cameron is probably one of the busiest woman in horror today. When she's not acting in movies, she's MAKING them. And when she's not doing that, she's either at conventions or thinking about her next couple hundred projects. Her self p

LOL - I love how you describe your love life!
I like both comedy and horror not to mention action and adventure. I can see how comedy and horror might easily be related, especially after watching a bunch of badly written movies or books - the horror is so badly done that it is funny and the comedy is just a horror.

@spleendingo1 I have also watched some bad movies and read some awful books. In the end, if I am not asking for the hours that I spent on them back, then I do not consider them a complete loss.

That is exactly right! I've seen some HORRIBLE movies and read some books that were free, yet I still felt like a was robbed lol But when I find that hidden gem, I get excited. of course I'm easily amused so it doesn't take much

@purplealabaster Yeah, I watch and read mainly indie horror so I kind of know what I'm in for. But still, when I see someone make a GREAT movie on a $10,000 budget and then see an AWFUL movie made for more than twice that, it makes me angry. Because I KNOW you can do something awesome with less!

Not into comedy, here. I like horror, but not the kind where there's too much blood and gooey stuff. I'm more into the horror-thriller genre. I've seen some good Japanese ones. The Ring and One Missed Call are not bad.

I liked the Ring and One Missed Call. The original ones though. I thought the American remakes were not as good. My favorite foreign horror movie is "Audition". THAT film is scary and very twisted!

@cahaya1983 There used to be a website that let you watch foreign horror with subtitles. They took it down because I guess it was considered a pirating site, even though you couldn't download the films. I've seen some grisly, violent, bloody good ones though! Awesome what they can get away with overseas but they water them down here.

@spleendingo1 Yeah I meant the original ones. Have you seen any Thai horror movies? Some of them are pretty good too. I don't think I've seen Audition before, I should look it up!

It is good to see you here @spleendingo1 I like some scary movies but not all of them. We rarely watch them because of the kiddo's. They get scared so easily.

I'm glad to see you to! I saw the Exorcist when I was 11 years old, so you're right to keep them away from the kids. They could turn out like this and then you'd be REALLY screwed lol

No worries there! I'm fully aware that horror movies are NOT for everyone. But when I saw "The Exorcist" when I was only 11 years old I knew by my stained underoos that I was hooked lol

I used to love horror movies but at some point they became too bloody and gory for me so it's rare that I'll watch one especially late at night
