I like to move it. Move it.

Hey, move it!!! I prefer not to start discussions for a long period of time, and that's why when the time does come, my posts end up being quite long. Now I don't know whether it's myLot's way of asking me to shut up (or go short) but I just wrote a long post with as many as 3 emoticons and none of those were there in the final copy! I tried to edit and re-edit, but seems I can keep one only. Come on, such a long post and just one visual? Oh I see.. getting long again. I'll just shut up and bounce.

Well, you managed to get three emoticons in this discussion, so you must be on the multiple emoticon okay list again.

I am sure it has to do with long posts... can't test right away as long posts need thought :) Or, as suggested in other response, maybe they are familiarizing themselves with me. *thinking*

@hora_fugit Hmmm... I, personally, don't believe that the algorithms need to "familiarize" themselves to your style of "thinking", YOU... An algorithm is simply part of a program. A program is not (yet) sentient, so does not require an acclimatization period. And, since it is not (yet) sentient, it is not being polite and waiting for your slower (by orders of magnitude) synaptic ability to "catch up" with it and continue with your post, either. Notice, when I was having problems with the emoji's not working, it turned out that the emoji's worked, as long as you did not try to post the jealous emoji before any of the other ones. (That is what Lamb and I found out a couple of weeks ago.)

@DaddyEvil I found that out a triplet or quadruplet of weeks ago!

I have not used emoticons yet, so am not certain how many are allowed.

Well, @blusa , when I was trying to learn what the emoji's meant, I used almost every one of them in the emoji box on one (for me) relatively short comment! It was pretty cool looking! Nobody has ever said we can't use as many as we want in every post we write!

@bluesa If you are still concerned about it, you can always tag Alex to this comment box so he could give you an official answer, you know. Uhm... Cat? Has anyone told you how to tag Alex? Write @Go AskAlice , but take out the space between Go and Ask. It is a tag just like our usernames. It calls Alex to see what someone needs. He is very nice and would not mind answering your questions. Have you met @PhredWreck yet, Cat? He can usually answer questions people have about this site, too. (I interact with Lamb much more than I interact with Alex, so am more comfortable asking him instead of Alex about stuff to do with myLot.) I do hope this helps you, hon!

@DaddyEvil , it is great you used most of them, it would look pretty cool, I think. That's true, I have not seen that there is a limit for use of emoji's. I might attempt it some day.

So far this time around I have not had that problem. I just do not remember to use them often.

I was just wondering... that jealous icon makes my post lose all the smileys. Though I did succeed in putting that one in my posts initially, but now seems like it has got literally jealous of all the things! Try that.

Emoticons are fun so I, for one, like to see them. Glad you got a few in here.

I wasn't aware we're not allowed too many emotions. Is there a number stated somewhere?

I don't suppose there's any such restriction. myLot is just being funny, or so it thinks!

Not sure if the glitch has been sorted out. It starts with a jealous emoji followed by others. Try and tell.

I actually think you ran into the same glitch I ran into the other day, @hora_fugit ! Apparently, myLotBugs has been fumigating around on myLot lately. I've run into several things I've needed/wanted assistance with here.

To be honest, I was surprised by the reply given by Alex... "you are not the only one" sounded bit rough. Well, they still haven't fixed this issue.

@DaddyEvil Hehe, don't worry at all! I have liked this "Admin cat is not happy" handle since the days she used to be Alice! That continued when he became "more of an Alex".... lol Now, that was not the entire message there were more information and an assurance...all is fine here, even if issue is not resolved. Who wants to be jealous, anyway? That interaction is as old as this post, so I wonder if it had anything to do with the rough time you mentioned. Sorry to hear he's having that... Did you call me a YOU?

@hora_fugit Well... yeah, if that was the entire message, then it sounds like he may be getting tired of everyone reporting the same problems... uh... yeah. Uhm, it is also possible that Alex is still having family problems. He was having a very rough time of it a day or two ago. (I do hope everything works out for his family.) I am not meaning to make excuses for Alex, YOU, but there could be many reasons he was not as careful in answering you as you might wish. (shrug!) I am not him, so I can't answer for him, either.

I love using emoticons, it's a lot more fun. I don't have problems when adding emoticons in my posts or even in my comments.
