I have noticed since Labor Day the price of gasoline is falling, falling, falling and it is about time.
It is at $2.14 here now and with the discount from the grocery store on gasoline it will only be about $1.89 which is just about unheard of in recent years.
But the one thing with the grocery store discount is you can only go to 20 gallons which is okay by me as I usually gass up when I am at a half a tank or a little less.
What is your gasoline prices where you live?
Hope your gasoline prices have fallen recently also.

Our local corner store is charging $1.969 a gallon for gas and the Walmart Express in town is charging only $1.949. $1.919 if you have a WalMart card. I don't know what the Sam's Club down in the 'big' city is charging but I imagine it's comparable.

Ours are about the same here. I made the decision not to drive anymore last spring so I don't have to worry about those things anymore. I just have to find ways to get to appointments and shopping now.

Gasoline prices are way too high period. I knew a guy that worked for Mobile. He told me that the gas is marked up thousands of percent. He said they could sell gas for little as 5 cents and make billions. So they play with the public on this. It is all greed. And we believe them. That's why we need alternative energy. Why rely on the oil companies.

When you wrote this, I think it was about 1.09 but now it is up to 1,29. We also use loyalty points from our grocery store, but we have unlimited gallons we can get. So we fill up both cars and all the gas cans we have.

I have no idea why there is a limit on the number of gallons of gasoline you can receive with the discount. The price of gasoline has gone up again dang it.

@Marcyaz Yeah, I wonder why the limit? I mean the store makes a lot in the groceries we buy in order to receive this discount..Or maybe that is the reason, maybe it takes me longer to get points, making it more difficult to earn points?

We do use the grocery fuel points. Can go to 35. Even less expensive is a Murphy's at a brand new Wal Mart on the way to our new home. If you use a Wal Mart shopping or credit card you save three cents a gallon. We keep a Wal Mart gift card loaded for that. We paid $1.99. . . pump price was $2.02. Our grocery store sponsored station is still over 2.10 I think.

Gasoline prices have been falling all over the world due to various reasons. Here also it has come down drastically, however, all the benefits of lower prices are not passed on to the customers here. At present, prices of petrol in Delhi is Rupees 60 a litre (which is slightly less than one USD).

Same here in the Philippines. I think it's been 2 years now since most gasoline companies announce roll back in prices. I have mixed feelings about it. I have been losing thousands in stocks because of this but I also think that most people benefit from this price decrease.

Wow I wish we'd get those low prices here, last time I filled up was on the 2nd and I paid 2.449 at Sams, kinda high ..... I probably won't need to gas up again until sometime in Oct, hopefully by then the prices will really be low here too. Gotta admit I'm a bit

The price of petrol is falling here, too. We are nearly down to £1 a litre (for comparison, that is $5.87 per US Gallon). I fill my tank approximately once a month and that has generally cost me around £50. The last time I filled up it was just over £40 (with a discount of 6p per litre from the big grocery chain, Tesco).
