Strange habits

My lovable and sometimes crazy collie dog, Fergus is my best friend. In fact, I have my Facebook status set to show I am in a relationship with him. I've had several dogs and other pets in the past but never one with as many strange habits as Fergus. From the time he was large enough to reach, he has made himself at home to watch television with the family, draped over a coffee table. When I sneeze, he starts barking loudly at me until I stop. Everyone else is allowed to sneeze - just not me. He is a little too clever and actually pre-empts my sneezes now by barking the moment I take a tissue from the box. Lately, I've been confused a few times because I thought I'd put Fergus outside but would turn around and find him in the house. The first few times, I thought I must be getting forgetful and only THOUGHT I'd let him out. Now I know how he does it. Last week I caught him in the act. The clever boy has learned how to open the sliding door. He stands with his front legs on the top step, puts his snout at the side of the door and nudges it until he creates a gap large enough to fit his head. He then butts the opening until it is wide enough to fit through and lets himself inside. I don't mind - but he doesn't bother closing the door behind himself and lets flies in. What sort of pets do you have? Do they have strange or unique habits?

You need to teach him to shut the door behind him/ dogs are really smart and they are part of the family. He knows he is.

He certainly does know it. Sometimes we have battles of will because he also decides he is in charge!
