I always get sleepy when afternoon comes, especially after eating. We call it 'siesta' here, napping in the afternoon. When i can't have my siesta, i get so sleepy until the night and sometimes my eyes hurt do you nap in the afternoon too? too much of it makes you groggy though

Yes, I do fall asleep in the afternnon. I seem to fall asleepon a whim. I even fall asleep while in here as well. I fall asleep and can't remember where I was at or what I was doing in here, and that is sad too. Once I have had a good nap, then I am ready to go and won't fall asleep until time to go to bed.

@lady1993 I don't know what it is, but I can get a pretty good night's sleep, and still end up falling asleep in the daytime. I am a senior citizen so that might be why, who knows.

@rosekiss maybe it is the age, i read an article that the older you get the less sleep you require though

Yes, I love siesta, but I don't have the time anymore to do so .. As I am working, so sad .. when I was a little kid, I hate sleeping in the afternoon now, I just missed sleeping in the afternoon and waking up to a nice snack (merienda) .. :)

@mashii maybe that's why parents force their kids to sleep in the afternoon, because they regret not doing it when they had the time

I try not to take naps. I typically end up more tired than I was when I fell asleep. I will say though my couch is magical though if you lay down it's sooo easy to fall asleep on it... it's evil that way

One usually slows down in the afternoon, usually after a heavy meal.

It's a cultural thing. In other countries, people frown on those who take afternoon naps. I only get to nap during weekends. It's a challenge here in my workplace as I also work during my break.

that is unfortunate, i have trouble sleeping at night too - but it is far from insomnia thankfully - just staring or trying to sleep for 30 minutes or so

@lady1993 I don't sleep good because of RA. It can be painful laying in the bed for too long.

When i was young, I was full of energy and I didn't have to have the nap after lunch. Then as time goes by, I am not that young any more. I feel that I can be tired easily. Perhaps this is also because I sleep late at night and wake up early. I don't have enough time to sleep. So a nap is important for me.

I usually spending about half an hour taking naps after having my lunch. My colleagues in the office all have this habit so that I could sleep in the office without disturbing others. In the afternoon I have to do my work which means sleeping in the office is quite impossible!

that is unfortunate, it'd be nice if companies can give nap breaks for workers since it might make them more active
