Sunday Dinner

When I was a kid, we went to church every Sunday. Afterward, we always had a big meal either at Grandma's or at our house. Frequently, we'd have a big pot roast with homemade mashed potatoes, gravy, and vegetables. I can almost smell it cooking now. Actually, that is what I smell cooking. I wasn't able to make it to church this morning, due to health, but I have a roast in the oven. When the kids and grandkids get done with church, they'll be over to have a big Sunday Dinner. Ah, some traditions are worth keeping around, even if you have to "adjust" them a little. I hope all of you are having a wonderful Sunday.

I always cook a good meal on Sundays. That is when the whole family gets together. We laso have a leisurely lunch on Sunday.

It usually works out better on the weekends, with everyone's crazy schedules these days. It's usually dinner, but if not, I do the big breakfast thing. It's nice to make time to relax and catch up with loved ones.

My mother used to make big meals on Sunday and we often had guests. Then when I got older, we started a new tradition of going out to eat after church, just the two of us.

Going out is always nice too. My husband and I usually try to that occasionally, just the two of us.
