Today a couple of my kids wanted me to go with them to Okobiji as they saw on Craigslist some items they wanted to buy.
We stopped on the way and had breakfast then continued on into Iowa and followed the directions we were given.
Oh did I tell you they had their new trailor hooked up to bring some bigger items home, they bought a couple of hutches, some chairs and loveseats, end tables and a chest of drawers all like new.
The people are moving and gave them good prices on all these items.
We left my house around 9 am and returned about 1 pm.
It was a nice outing and when I came home the first thing I did was let my dogs out.
They were so happy to see us.

That wasn't too many hours for all that. And breakfast also. Sounds like ti was a nice day out. Here for me, a day out is a long drawn out stress factory. The traffic alone makes it next to impossible to get out of my block for about 20 minutes.

The exact origin and meaning of the name "Okoboji" is unknown but it is most likely derived from the Dakota-language name "Okoboozhy," which means "place of rest," "reeds" or "rushes" (like cattails). It's a Native American word but that is about all we know about it.

Glad they got all new items for good prices. It's nice when you can come across a good buy. I love outings like that but sometimes it can wear you out with all that driving etc.

I used to love to buy furniture. I have gotten some great buys from yard sales down through the years.

Thank You, the furniture was underpriced in my opinion. Since the owners hadn't yet sold anything after two weeks they were willing to wheel and deal on everything which made it good for the kids as they were able to buy more than what they went for and all are things they can use.

At first sight I really thought you went on visiting some town in Japan. Haha.
I'm glad you had a lovely trip with your kids.
