Do people still write letters?I enjoy writing letters an long hand.
I do not write too many but a few now and then.As I do not want to lose my style of long hand writing. The same with thank you notes,
I always and yes write a thank you notes to all who send me gifts, wishes, etc.
Most people not text .I understand this. This is a different generation.
But I do love to write, period.
Remember that song."I"m going to sit down and write my self a letter and send it to the person I love.
Oh!well when was the last time that you wrote.

It has been a very long time. I did write an official letter when I used to work, but I don't think that counts.

Its been a while. And I have written letter to many people. I stopped writing letter because friends found it sentimental act. So instead of writing letters for the friends. I only write corporate letters and the communication in the support ticket. I feel good to connect with customers that way.

I love writing letters though I do type them and print them as many find my hand writing very difficult to read

I find writing relaxing and it helps me reduce stress. Every time I am going through a difficult situation, I write my thoughts on paper and then save them in a safe place. I don't go back to read them, I just keep them and the burden goes away. These are personal letters that are not addressed to anyone but myself.
About real letters, I don't send or receive any more. I communicate with my long distance friends through skype or facebook and I can't remember when was the last time that someone sent me a letter.

It's been a while that I was able to write a letter to anyone or to myself, for that matter. When I feel down or I feel happy I write a letter to myself, lol! I used to write letters to my friends even during the advent of emails and sms. It sort of stamped my letter with a "personal touch" more than an email does. I like writing letters because it allows me to practice my various font-styles. I just love the idea of my hand sliding down a piece of paper, writing my heart and thoughts out to a friend or loved one. By the way, I still write letters to my beloved. However, I sort of stopped when I felt unappreciated for my efforts..

We are a dying breed--people have forgotten snail mail and as kids aren't being taught to write in school now in a decade letters/cards/notes will be a small part of the US post office duties!!

I rarely write handwritten anything anymore since most of my communication these days is either email or texting

Just a week ago. I wrote letters to my, well she's not my girlfriend yet, but I am exerting effort through love letters. And I must say that I am not a fan of writing letters, maybe because I'm a part of the new generation, but I do hope that I develop a liking to write more.
