As antivirus are a must these days to safeguard your system software ,so I know everyone is extra careful in choosing best of the best antivirus in market. First antivirus I chose was Kaspersky as it had good market reputation and is good too but it was not free. As my one year validity came to an end I thought of renewing it.But I came across total 360 ,Qihoo Chinese company I guess. Awesome antivirus with free of cost .I am really tension free enjoying!! Now say your antivirus?what brand are you using?

I am usning Avast, and have a 2 year subscription. I am happy with it so far, as I have used others like AVG, and Norton, but I like Avast better. Each of them take care of viruses in their own way.

@mkrnex I can't recall what I paid for a two years subscription, but I am glad that I did. Maybe sincer I live in the US, Avast works better here than in India.

Avast is like outdated here. Everyone is using pirated kaspersky or some new come company! But I guess it must be good as you are having no problems!! Between how much it costs?

@mkrnex I would say- NP is passable. Not much of a bargain though. It may cost you around Rs.300=00, for a license. My subscription is due to expire this December. Will surely give Total 360 try.

I am using AVG antivirus. I have 2 years subscription which is about to end next year. I hope to renew soon. I have things going just fine for me right now these days. That being said, I have also used AVAST and to be honest I didn't liked it. I found it a heavy antivirus to use. so I switched to the avg instead of that. And this antivirus is good.

I use Avast, it is a good and free antivirus. There is also a free version of Kaspersky that I use time by time. I believe it's still the best.

Are you using two antiviruses? It will slow down your system startup!! Btween kaspersky is awesome. How did you get free version. I get free version only from torrentz which are pirated actually!!

@mkrnex No, I do not start both the antivirus at startup. The Kaspersky is on a DVD and I launch it separately before launching the system. This is the best way to be sure to catch any small virus, trojan or key logger.

@LadyDuck Yep before booting some virus may kick start as your antivirus will not be loaded!!

i recommend avira for most of my friends. Personally i use bitdefender since i am running on ubuntu. Bitdefender gives away 1 year key for none personal use. p.s : ubuntu doesn't need an antivirus. I use bitdefender to clean file before sending to my friends who are using windows.

I use the free version of Avast antivirus, which I have been using for many years now and find quite good. A long time ago I was an avid fan of Norton antivirus. However, once they introduced the Norton internet security suite the program became demanding on resources and would quite noticeably slow the system down at times. Nowadays I stick to Avast, which I often recommend to friends.
