Treasures have unexpected ways of surfacing. One might come across them on a deep sea dive, as it happened when an old Spanish galleon, which was discovered by divers. Or you may be lucky enough to have your plowshare hitting a pot, containing close to twenty kilos of gold. Lastly, you may be lucky enough to find a vase containing valuable stones while driving a nail, a tad too hard in your wall.
In the first of the two cases the better part of the proceeds ended up in the coffers of the US and Indian governments, respectively. In the third case-the fellow in whose house the discovery took place, was smart enough to have gone about it in a discreet way-now lives a comfortable life in an Indian city-as he was able to salvage the stones in that vase, and find a "front", to sell them.
So a treasures may, or may not enrich the person finding them.
Would love to have your observations on this one.
