How long you can keep fasting on food say overnight?

People had been over burdening their stomach now and then. Since they woke up and till they go to bed with everything and anything they come across. But have you ever thought to give some rest to your stomach and body. It is preferable to keep some rest by providing breaks. It helps in keeping the body regulated. At least one must give full rest for three to four hours prior to sleep. The fasting helps in keeping your physique and body to great extent.

@amitajain well said ! I fully agree with your point n infact if possible one should avoid eating anything except fresh fruits at least one day i n a week, just to detoxify his/her body

Yes this is very good for our body's. I have fasted my lunch and sometimes I'll do a dinner fast as well and just drink lots of water. My body feels good when I wake up.

Yes, you are right that at least once in a week, we should go for fast or if that is not possible, we should take some liquid diet or fruits and skip one of our meals to give rest to our digestive system.

I usually keep a full day fasting once in a month. I just take water only till night. If I feel too tired or loosing energy then will take some fruit juices in less quantity.
My dinner will be atleast 2 hrs before I sleep some times it will be 4 hrs earlier too.

Fasting means cleansing the system. I feel that complete fasting once in a month with adequate intake of water is good. Later, fasting once a week is permissible. During fasting, intake of water must be given due importance.

@amitajain Yes I agree what you said and it is true .
One must need rest from digesting activity for once in a month or twice .
Fasting helps us to keep healthy too.
The digestive organs need rest as we sleep daily and take rest .
I have practicing it for every month
