Thoroughly confusing list of followers

I returned to Mylot recently and chose to delete the whole list of members that I was following. This may seem illogical, but I was uncertain which of them would still be active here or had returned, so I decided to start anew. Due to being on holiday quite a fair bit recently, I am only showing 12 members as those that I currently follow. Today I decided to track down worthwhile members to follow and expand the list, but this is proving to be difficult. My intended approach was to locate names that I recognised and check their recent activity. Since I cannot find any access to a list of members, I decided to browse through my following list. However, my profile page shows 156 followers, yet when I click on the link I see only 19 individual names which are then repeated several times as I scroll down the page. This seems quite bizarre and seriously frustrating.

I think to remember that I have read that there is a bug in the following/followers list and the administrator is working to fix the problem.

I do hope that is the case Anna because having a true list available would be very useful.

@Asylum I have tried to go through my list, but I cannot see all those I followed. I should had to create an HTML page and collect all the links, as I did on the other site.

Deleting and updating your list sounds like a good idea to me. I'm new here so I'm still trying to get the hang of navigating this site. So far it seems like a good place to interact

It may sound odd, but I hold on to some members who have passed away, as their profile is still here and I miss them. I like to "touch" them by reading. I also kept all of my old friends hoping some will come back. I am glad to see you here. For me this site is family, plain and simple.

The site was not easy for me to navigate either when I first returned because it had changed quite a bit. Of course it does not take too long to find your way around.

@MyLotBugs is aware of this problem and will get to it eventually. At the moment, they are concentrating on making the earnings potential of the site (for them and for us) as efficient as possible. There are several screens which suffer from duplication - the Following and Follwers one's being probably the worst but the 'Most Recent' discussions one also has this problem from time to time. I don't know whether this is a simple 'tweak' but probably not, since it will very likely depend on a chain of routines, each producing a table from which the next one selects.

I do use the Most Recent listing, but obviously would not be likely to notice the issue because I simply browse through rather than scroll down a long way to see a full listing. It seemed likely that the issue was known and being dealt with, although it did confuse me at first.

What an honor to make it onto the fussy Koalemos list!! The following thing is a bit odd, I find if I follow someone then they follow me it sort of unfollows so one has to follow a second time. Or else I am unfollowing people in error. I love the block button though.

Somehow I have encountered the scenario of unwittingly in following members at a few sites in the past.

Yes, I have already been informed that this issue is known to Admin. I did check earlier today, but the issue is still there.

I don't follow anybody on here, so if I end up following anybody, they should count themselves lucky I guess over time people come and go from here, so it depends how long you were away from the site. Months? Years?

I was absent for about 18 months, which was why it seemed appropriate to compile a new and updated list of members to follow. My main reason for following people is that some tend to submit the type of articles that appeal to me, so it is easier to trace entertaining material to interact with than it would be if I simply browsed throughout the site.

This does sound odd. I do not think mine is set up that way. I would contact GoAskAlex_Admin and follow them first. I will go make sure I am following you now.

I think that the duplication problems are worse for some people than for others. If so, you may be one of the lucky ones.

Perhaps some Mylotter could not be here everyday or just coming every 2-3 days. I haven't checked my following & follower list yet honestly. I'm following new friends who interact with me and her/his name is familiar to me
