Keep On Writing.

People want to know how to write gooder....or better....or whatever it is. Obviously I haven't learned yet. But the old saying is true. To do anything better, practice until you get better, or gooderer. Except sky diving. If you fail that the first time, the only thing you'll get better at is being a ghost. The benefits of writing are pretty sweet at times though. It's a good feeling to know that something that came from your brain hole found it's way to someone's eyeballs and they enjoyed it. Or hated it! A reaction is a reaction and, either way, at least it was read. A couple of weeks back I applied to be a contributor for a comedy website. I finally heard back and they not only accepted, they've been kind enough to publish my first two pieces for them. So of course I wanted to share them with you. The links are below if you're interested. If you're not interested, that's cool. We can always talk about ways for me to get gooder at this riting stuff.... http://www.absrdcomedy.com/2015/09/21/stopping-facebook-bullies/

If writing does improve with practice why were Jeffery Archer's books still rubbish after his tenth novel came out? I write prolifically. I should be Shakespeare by now. Lol!

I hope you don't find your comedy in your own life experiences. Because that would be sad. But funny.

Most of my writing comes from my own life to some degree. I exaggerate a LOT for the sake of a joke, but there's always some truth in there somewhere

@simone10 Ignorance is bliss. And I'm one HAPPY person. But I prefer it that way. When you know things, people expect you to DO things lol

Congratulations for being accepted! I'm constantly looking for ways to be "gooder" at writing. I think it's a challenge to keep the creative juices flowing though.

Thank you! Sometimes what I do if I'm "stuck" is just start writing with no idea where I'm going. Most of the time an idea will pop up in there somewhere and then I can start over with that. Then again, sometimes it doesn't work and I'll just get drunk lol

@cahaya1983 My notebooks look like the ramblings of a crazy person lol I always carry one with me wherever I go and write down any ideas I think of before I forget them. About 80 percent of those wind up being unusable crap. But the other ten percent is where I get some of my best bits or ideas for articles etc. So, you're right! Just write and don't stop!

@spleendingo1 Haha. I usually just save it as draft and then come back to it later. But one thing I don't like about that is I'd sort of lose the momentum that I had when I started writing. You have a point though, the most important thing is to start. They say don't worry too much that you can't write well, just write NOW!
