So, I was coloring the other day, trying real hard to stay in the lines, I had just got done coloring the ground, and now it was time to color the sky.....so naturally I immediately went for the "Sky Blue" crayon.
I looked at the crayon and I looked out the window at the actual sky. The sky looked a little deeper blue than the crayon. And this got me thinking, the sky must go through millions of different shades of blue throughout the world....which means my Sky Blue crayon is very very rarely ever actually going to be "sky" blue.
I mean I've seen pictures of some of the cities in China and other industrialized places in the world......are their Sky Blue crayons brown? What about when it's cloudy? Or when there's a volcanic eruption? Or even different times of the day? Shouldn't the Sky Blue crayon actually match the color of the sky?
So I need to hire each and every one of you to visit as many stores in your area as possible.....several times a day........365 days a year.......and switch out the Sky Blue crayons so that they match the actual sky.
I can't pay you anything.......but just think of the satisfaction you'll get knowing you're keeping it real in the world.........NOW HURRY UP....GET TO WORK!

Autumn in Texas is, to me, like a second spring. The grass gets green again, discouraged perennials perk up, and so many things can be planted! Now if i can...

Why don't we just change the name of the blue crayon, formerly known as "Sky" to something like Heavenly Blue, or Favorite Blue, and pass a law tied to a political funding measure that says you can make your sky any darned shade you would like? It would be a lot less work for me for sure.

I think they say "sky" for that light blue color because its not the same as the one they call light blue (do they still label a color light blue?) Want to really make your sky the right color blue? Make the blue darker as you got higher in the sky.

Seems like a lot of work......can't we just change all the Sky Blue crayons every 30 minutes?

I'm still trying to figure out where all the old colors went. Red-orange, orange-red, burnt umber (I still don't quite know what umber is), green-blue and blue-green. Flesh is another one, although that one should come in multiple shades. I wonder what they call that one now - peach?
