The Day like the Night

Another one of my inspirational think sessions came upon me today. Living in suburbia means that all day today in my neighborhood things have been quiet. Not even the neighbors’ dogs barked. My cat was enjoying the autumn weather in the garden. Sitting at my PC I was so busy that before I knew it twilight had come. That was what got me thinking. Many people consider that the day is very different from the night.
Today I realized that except for the fact that outside it was dark in my part of the world there really was no difference. It is as quiet now in the dark as it was during the day. I think that is what I like about living here I have nothing to worry me. The day slides into the night and round again.
When I lived in NYC it was different because I loved seeing the neon lights come on in the night. The night seemed vibrant and exciting whereas the day seemed ordinary. I especially loved the night when soft rain fell during the spring and summer. The neon seemed to shiver in the rain puddles and everything had a kind of special glow to it.
What do you think?
