NEPAL EARTHQUAKE

United Kingdom

I was in Nepal during this awful incident and it really hurts that the "hype" concerning the quake has "died down" and support is no longer rolling in, even though the support it had to begin with was barely trickling in and Monday really reaped the bnifits besides the King... Does anybody have any educated opinions on this? It just personally bothers me that these kind and wonderful people have just been left to suffer. Of course everybody is worthy of help and I wish the whole world would be free of pain but right now Nepal is just on my mind :/

I hope things are recovering slowly. I have found out that there are still some people struggling with things. That being said, there are still some NGOs working for the changes over there. but earthquake can't be helped for most of the time. we can just rebuild at the best.

With what money? With what infrastructure?? They have nothing. They can only rely on the hard work and kindness of others at this point.. It's heartbreaking. I'm lucky I got to see Kathmandu while it was still standing. I still have nightmares about it. It's not about "earthquakes can't be helped" that's a given, it's a natural disaster.
