A job I applied for months ago finally came up at very short notice. I was told half an hour ago to start part time tomorrow part time at a busy sports wear warehouse. Though told I was successfully contracted 8 weeks ago the only just told me my start date - horrible four days on - four days off shift pattern. It'll slow down my writing on here but it won't stop me. I have a very long tram ride to an from my noon to six pm shifts each day.

@Hannihar it didn't happen in the end - this post is actually three years old. The company changed its mind after I injured myself on the way in and sat bleeding in the manager's office - they just expected me to start anyway rather than fixing myself up and coming back later so I quit without starting

It is so that they could see that you were injured and did not care. I do not blame you for not taking the job Arthur. They probably would have been a nightmare to work for and you saw what they were like in the very beginning. Are you ok now from the injury?
