Do You ever Hesitate to do Something to make Money?

For years I have been wanting to write ebooks and try to see how that will do for me, but some of my topics are a bit... inappropriate for general reading. I always weighed my options about doing it or not doing it, trying to test the waters before getting into it.
A large part of it was would I get a job and would it negatively impact that position when it was discovered? Any more, that's not really and issue, so I hold back to be considerate to my family. But time is waning, and it makes me wish I had just dashed forward without hesitating then, yet I still hesitate now. It's annoying.

i would write and prepare , and collect them , and never stop writing until the moment comes
i have done the same ones but then i decided to publish , and yes i published 2 books and was a success
i encourage you to write and prepare even if it is for a long run , you do you job and give some time for the writing , in one point you will find your self ready and after you publish if it can make you enough money you can start doing it for a full time

Sounds like good advice. I have been writing, but without the final goal to drive the agenda I don't finish. I kind of need deadlines to write large amounts. I used to do that with fanfictions I had on a schedule and it worked well. Once I broke the pattern I kind of stopped.

I wouldn't mind working hard if it's something I enjoy. I just hesitate to get into it because there's no turning back once I commit.
