Nothing curbs ones spontaneous outbursts more than playing bowls with a "dominee". That is the Afrikaans word for Reverend, minister or pastor.
So it was Heritage Day today, a Bank and Public Holiday therefore the Social Bowls had a theme. . . . Dress in your favorite Rugby Team Jersey!
locally we have super 14 Teams, Currie Cup Teams, and our National Team. The Bowling Green was a delightful sight and we all made a marvelous effort in keeping it themed. I got to play with a Dutch Reformed Minister that was so polite, even with bad bowling, but funny enough talkative.
He told me a joke, which after the calm and peaceful mannerism of the first game, gave me new hope for Reverends and church Ministers on the sporting scene.
"Father Patrick was invited to have tea with Mildred and Mable one fine Friday morning. As he arrived he noticed a blown up condom on the open piano . . . .?, he asked the ladies what in heavens name was it doing on the piano to which Mildred replied . . . . The instructions says, blow up and apply to organ . . . But we don't have an organ so we used the piano".
That was the first of many jokes. Ai ai ai. I was dumbfounded!
May I tell this joke on myLot? I hope so.
Enjoy the laugh.

Years ago I trained with a nun. She had the most wicked sense of humour going. We got up to all kinds of mischief and although I always got the blame most of the time she was the instigator!

Enjoyed that joke. Silliness. Jokes do sort of lift the mood and offset any uncomfortable feeling in first meetings. Nice of him to share.
