I wasn't that specific with the title because my children and I are actually starting both. Today at the library I grabbed the book and the DVD of "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets".
After my children had a snack and did their homework my daughter and I sat down and watched as much as we could of the movie before dinner and baths.
After baths we read the first chapter in the book. It's too early to say in the book but we watched about half of the movie and I love it. So far I like that movie better then the first one.
Tomorrow is a half day of school so we will definitely have time to finish watching the rest of the movie and read another chapter in the book.

I read both the book and the movie of "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" and loved them both. I liked the movie more than the book however. In fact, that's the only one of the series I did read/watch. Don't know why I never bothered reading and watching the rest of the series, guess I just never got around to it. I believe I did watch part of "Prisoner of Askaban" at one point though.

We read the first book about half way through and then watched the movie. That was Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone. We just finished that book last night so today I stopped at the library quick to grab the book and saw that they had the DVD too. My kids are really excited about having both of these to read and watch now!

We wound up finishing the movie today and both my daughter and I loved it. She is sleeping in my bed because she is scared though after watching it. I can't say I blame her some parts were very creepy. We read another chapter (the second one) tonight before bed. I am really loving this book. I wish I could talk my kids sitting together and reading more then once a day haha. At least they will do it once with me. It is a very special time for me.

I liked the second book better than its movie adaptation, but you usually find that.

I really like the second movie it was really good. I also am really liking this book as well but we are only on chapter 5 right now. In the first book most everything was the same as the movie. In the second book though my daughter and I are noticing there are a lot of parts of the book that are different from the movie.

@shaggin Yes, things are swapped in the movie that were in the book. Some of the orders seem to be wrong. In general it's okay, but the book and movie are different from one another.
