People Change, As Do Personality Test Results

Hehe, I just did a personality test a few days ago and got a different result than I did back in college. After college I did the same test and got something else so that's multiple changes in a row! No I don't have multiple personality but it's just fun to read all about who you are after taking these kinds of exams. I love reading what they have to say about me. There's supposedly 16 personalities based on Myers-Briggs or some other expert test online sites and if we base it on the website I took it on, they got me down almost to a T. Not promoting it but it's really fun and cool to find out what the test results have to say. I'm one of the 4 Analysts now. I used to be one of two Explorers back in college and when I got my first job (I think). Even my co worker says she has a different result now than several years ago. Do you enjoy taking personality tests too? Do you like the results you get?

@thesids ... Hold it there, are you kidnapping any child? Vanny removes sword and finds it to be letter opener..so she runs away.

LOL - I think that I must be too complex for this test, because most of my answers were "it depends upon the situation" but I did try to answer the question rather than keep it neutral. It says that I am a Campaigner, which really does not describe me well at all.

@topffer I like your description better than the description given on the website, especially the "sparkle of madness" part, so I think that we will go with yours! It is not necessarily that I am a diplomat but rather do I care enough to give it to them straight and be myself or should I soften the blow a little ... I think that I am very competitive, but I do find myself holding back on games, especially games that involve strategy, because I want to give others a fair shot at winning before I crush them.

If you could not decide, it is a proof that you are definitely a diplomat. I don't know if you are a Campaigner but I like the description : a true free spirit with a sparkle of madness. I don't attach a lot of importance to tests, so if you prefer to be something else, make your choice.

@purplealabaster It is not always easy to respond to the questions. Most of the time I will tell straightly what I think, but I can be tactful/diplomatic depending of the situation. I don't like to dispute, so I am also not really satisfied to be classified in the "debater" category. I also like strategy games, and I also like to win. I tend to be a bad player and to abandon if I realize that I cannot win.

I love these "messed up" results that they get for me... every time I participate on any of them. They said I am The Commander... where is my Army But wait, it also reads - "I will find a way... or make one" Time I started thinking about getting into construction business

I never did it before, so I took the personality test and I am also an analyst of the worst kind : a debater. I am not sure that the analysis is very good though : I am not charismatic and not intolerant, or I never noticed it. Thank you for the link anyways, it is interesting.

Sweetie, you are certainly charasmatic (at least in your own way) and you are intolerant of certain things, so that is not so far off.

@topffer But I like interesting, colorful characters, so that is certainly charismatic to me. Yes, you are intolerant of stupid people, but that does not make you a bad person.

@purplealabaster A museum curator sent me somebody that told me that I was exactly like she described me (I believe she did not thought that he would repeat it) : "an interesting colorful character". It is something else than charisma. I dislike stupid people, but is it intolerance ?

The Meyer-Briggs Results of Characters from STAR WARS
I don't remember mine (and don't trust myself to answer "realistically" if my real response would be "socially unacceptable") But I think I WILL take this test and see which STAR WARS character I match with ... ESTP-A, Han Solo ... sounds good to me!

Whoa! That's cool! I think I've seen that before. Awesome if you got Han Solo! If I base my results on that then I'd be... R2D2? Hey @topffer how does that make you feel? I was expecting all that high risk investment could indeed go through without a hitch but it didn't!

@topffer Oh no! You got the bug too? Yesterday I wasn't seeing most of the pics too... Wondered what was the problem, I kept refreshing the page but the same problem happened. Today it's back to normal so I see all the pics fine.

My sisters love taking these tests, I suspect they even keep a day-to-day diary for this! "I was not feeling like an Explorer today, so I opted for ..." okay, it's not good to read others' diaries. I had one long ago, on their insistence. Going to check if this one is fun indeed.

I have taken Meyer Briggs before. Can't remember what it said but it was accurate. But if I start paying attention to it, perhaps I won't change or grow. Or I could become wrapped up in what it says about me. It's a fun thing to do, but I tend not to take things seriously.

Yep it is mostly accurate during the time you took the test. It's fun to see what kind of person it says you are whether it is true or not.

They are totally unscientific. I have been turned down for jobs after taking some even when the test paper says there is no right or wrong solution. Interpreting them can be quite arbitrary.

Well I for one just answer truthfully. If they do not accept me based on the personality test result then that's fine. Plenty of other companies out there. Don't worry if they do not choose you because of the test results, just think that it's their loss not yours.

@owstalaga I totally agree. The tests divide you into wanting to answer as yourself and trying to anticipate the answers they want to see and you can't add comments to justify your answer. You can pass or fail as easily on a guess as trying to reason out your responses.
