Mylot has improved

Categories were discontinued in favour of tags, which are more flexible and make it potentially easier to find something you are looking for. Categories, in any case, were either not used or chosen at random by many people, so they weren't of very much practical use. I believe that MyLot are considering making it possible to select tags from a standard list as well as, of course, allowing people to enter their own. You can search on any tag you choose by going to "Explore", entering your search term in the Search box (at top right) and pressing 'Enter'. The default list is of discussions which have used the tag you searched for.

Greetings, XtremeGaming, I have been a myLot user for a while, and came back recently. I joined over eight years ago. As you can see from some people saying, we had a system of "Interests". You could choose your interests and link up discussions to them. It would be like categories. I remember some really nice interestings, like "Listening to music", "writing", "reading", etc. You had also specific interests, such as "Harry Potter". It was great. I came back and found quite a few different things. I am also on your side: I hope they implement it again soon enough, as it enriches our community and make it more friendly-user. Regards!

There were categories in previous Mylot. They might start it again on demand. I dont feel its too much messy as I give first preference to my friend's discussions and if there are none then only I see for some other discussions mostly from the no response or most recent section.
