working out

when i was younger, i HATED any form of physical exercise. i never liked gym class, my mom used to have to beg me to take a walk up and down our street. i was just not a very active teenager, and i was very overweight. i dont think i ate more than 1-2 vegetables a week. in college i somehow started going to the gym. gradually i began to fall in love with working out. now i cant imagine my life without it. a few years ago, i was running six miles practically every day. i lose a good amount of weight. an ankle injury last year (during a run) set me back. i spent 3-4 months of the winter inside, not able to work out in any way. i was also alone alot, because my boyfriend had work and class, so after work it was just me and the cat. i gained some of the weight back. im now back to exercising regularly, but its difficult to accept my new body and work from there. i never find working out to be the problem, but i still am working on my eating habits! i am an emotional eater, as you can tell by the way i gained weight when i was injured and depressed. what about you? i know some people are better at eating but struggle with the working out aspect. i do love going to the gym, i just wish i was better at saying no to sweets and salt!

I loved working out when I was younger. Now, I am physically not able to do so. About the only form of exercise I can do is walking and that can be hard at times.

@sprinklesare4winners It's all good. I don't want to complain as there are others worse off than I am. I do what I can when I can.

I don't work out. I might walk occasionally.. not often enough or far enough. I don't really eat right, but since I've been working I have been eating a lot less and trying to be more conscious of my weight. I won't eat sweets quite as much because I do want to lose a few pounds. I've dropped 1 pant size since I started working full-time back in April and that was without even really trying so that's awesome.

I eat alot too and crave sweets. But I have to watch my weight because of my health conditions. I exercise but not like I should. I do alot of walking and hiking but i don't exercise when inside. I should exercise more as I think it would help my asthma a bit as well. I just never can get motivated to do it and i 'm always tired.

I'm a foodie and never could stick to an exercise routine. I think going to the gym really helped you trigger interest in your exercising, I don't have enough money to pay for a gym membership, plus I work at home a lot, but sadly I'm out of shape. Good job, girl, so glad you can work out and eat healthier!! I'm 38 years old and should think more seriously about my health as well.

The only exercise I like is walking and I like to walk. Both my husband and I do not eat very much and we have a serving of vegetables twice a day, fruits and yogurt in the morning.

No working out in this house except going from computer to the kitchen to the recliner.

Well, that too is a sort of work out, isn't it? You know we do it so many times that it is like walking as a work out.

@silvermist I probably walk a few miles a day in the house, that's for sure.

I used to enjoy working out. As a kid I was quite skinny for a long time. I loved playing outdoors and walking and running for the joy of it. I could turn cartwheels and somersaults. As an adult who is growing older, I am not moving around enough. I weigh too much. If I could lose fifty pounds probably all of my health issues would go away.

for a period of time I was a big fan of going to the gym but I guess now I became too lazy to do any form of exercise

Oh yeah... that salt and sugar. Why are all the good things banned. It's a good thing that I like carrots lol. And with the move coming in November, I will have a new neighborhood to explore.

I got into sports like badminton and netball when I was in school but I only played them because they were part of school activities. Not a fan of the gym either. I prefer doing exercises such as jogging and long walks.

I have a job saying no to sweet things too, and I've never worked out in my life. When I was working though, I had a very physical job and didn't need any extra exercise.

I have always struggled with working out even though I have done my share in the past.
