Hey, have you ever worked on more than one job in the same time? Do you earn enough just with one job?

When my kids were younger and I was divorced, I worked 2 jobs to earn money for Christmas. I couldn't do it for long because I was not spending as much time with my kids as I wanted.

That had to of been so hard. But you had to do what you needed to do to make sure your family had a nice Christmas. I agree it's hard to work so much and not see your kids but if you don't work you don't get the things you need for your family.

@3SnuggleBunnies That is very true. You just have to do what you have to do as to me, my kids were more important than anything.

Yes, I have worked 2 jobs before. I have a full time day job which takes up 5 full days and a half day on Saturday. After finishing my work on Saturday, I go for lunch and continue on part time work. It is tough to do it month after month, but I sure am glad to have the extra pay.

Yeah. worked on a lot of jobs that were hectic for my body. i think working all the time made me understand that two jobs are definitely going to drain the body and health. so it is really hard as you age. especially in 40s. some people cant do it easily.

My husbands regular job is very hard on his body now that he has it his 40's. Sadly there are not alot of places one can go and get the same wage without going back to school or working as hard.

No.Once I had tried it,but couldn't do justice with either of them.Presently I am working with a company. The salary I draw is not sufficient for my needs.I am preparing for a bank job.If I get it,I will say good bye to my present job.

I had three jobs at one time - I didn't need the money, but the employers needed me.

I have worked more than one job when I was single. That only lasted about a year. But during that time I was able to pay down bills that I had accumulated and I had more money to do things besides bills. Many of my co-workers have multiple jobs. Some just have a second job because their full time job doesn't cover all their expenses. Some have multiple part time jobs because full time jobs are not easy to come by so they work several part time jobs to pay the bills. I knew a lady who worked 3 part time jobs!! Two of them during the week and one on the weekend.

Funny--I see your discussions are a lot about asking people about themselves but you say very little about yourself--why is that?

I have always had only one job at a time, working outside the home and inside the home has always been enough for me.

I've never had a job that didn't have a contractual obligation to NOT have a second job.

@martinbm - no absolutely not. I could have been fired for doing that. And I've always had contracts that were 'the hours needed to do the job'. There's no space left for a second job on top - especially as I travel so much.

I never had two jobs at a time. I've always wanted to get another job aside from th one that I have now. But my full time job will not will not let me do that. Same as the case of others, my full time job has a fixed schedule and number of hours and it's usually included in the contract to not have a second job so we can focus on that job. I wanted to have a part time job where I can choose my own schedule. I haven't found one though. Usually those types does not pay well.
