Does anyone know a few names of films that has the item "time machine" ?????????? I f anyone knows please respond ??????? In most of the stories that demonstrate a future incident or plot that will happen in another 3-5 centuries ahead Or a magical incident or plot is told, "time machine" is used usually. The hero in the film uses this special gadget that is the "time machine" and goto the past search and know all the things happened then corrects it.I don't know in which story this concept that is "time machine" was used for the first. But I can remember in the harry potter film -I think it's part three- (I can't remember its name, if anyone knows please tell me) there was a "time machine" which helped Harry and Hermoiney to solve the problem.(I can still remember how Ron was astonished to see both of them, Harry and Hermoiney staying in two different places within a second is rwally funny. This happens at the end of the story ) I recently read an article (it was really a collection of facts) about James Bond cars in Bond films.Like that 1.Do you know the films in which "time machine" concept was used ???? 2. .Do you know the story in which "time machine" was introduced for the first time in the history ???? my dear friends what do you think of this ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I think it might be "The Time Machine" from 1960. A time machine was used in this movie.

The concept of Time Travel has been in science fiction since HG Wells wrote The Time Machine in 1895 though Mary Shelley wrote about the future in The Last Man too. There is also Mark Twain's A Connecticut Yankee In The Court Of King Arthur, Many SF stories play with time travel, especially TV's Dr Who series. Other stories worth a look movie and TV wise; Time After Time, Sliding Doors, Back To The Future, The Time Travellers, Time Tunnel, Austen Powers, the Terminator Movies, Midnight In Paris, and many more.

@ria1606roy Star Trek often uses wormhole time travel too - also worth seeing the new movie Interstellar which uses genuine very scientific ideas on time travel

I see the TV series The Flash where he himself is a time machine! Went so fast that he went back a day, and then created a wormhole taking back into the past.

@arthurchappell exactly. Though Interstellar wasn't really time travel per se, it's relative time. The man wasn't getting any older because he was beside that black hole for too long.

"Back to the Future" comes to mind, as does the film version of H G Wells's novel "The Time Machine" - I think this may have been filmed more than once.
