with this new Windows 10. Not sure if it is because of the new software or if it is just making things worse. Yahoo has been a thorn in my side for ages now. It buffers constantly and it is very difficult to write emails. It will just stop and I have to wait until I can type a few more letters. This happens on a couple of other sites too but mostly on Yahoo. What I do is just type my message on a notepad and then paste it into my email. I hate it but I am too well established to move over to Gmail which I find each time I go there is more irritating that Yahoo. So what is left? AOL. Ugh! Been there and did that one. Got hacked into too often. Then there is MSN. Boring. Got hacked into there and I don't even use it that much. So, what is a girl to do? Any ideas?

I don't like the way that increasingly Windows is trying to dictate how I can use my computer and what I can use. I could not even get my new laptop to work unless I gave a lot of details that I didn't want to give and link things that I didn't want linked. I got my son to put Windows 7 on my laptop as I don't like all these app driven programs. Now I like my new laptop fine:D

@celticeagle A lot of my younger friends use their smart phones and so are use to using apps for most things that they do on-line.
Of course they are familiar with apps, and so they like Windows 8 and above.
I hardly ever use a mobile phone, but if I do I only use it as a phone so I have little to no experience of apps.

I refused to upgrade to Windows 10, I do not have the automatic updated option checked, I want to be in control of what I do. I have a gmail account and a Yahoo account. The Yahoo account was hacked once. I have another safer email account with our local provider.

I have had my Yahoo base email for eight years or more and it is hard to get with all the places that have that email to get ahold of me and let them know I have changed. It would take days and be quite an undertaking. I am a writer and have those sites I would have to go in and change, plus friends. Ugh!

Could very well be the problem I had issued at my online bank and they had me use Chrome. Caused the same problems. So, I don't know what to do.
