A Little Disappointed,But Optimistic

I can't tell you how happy I became when I came to know that Mylot is back again.I joined the site immediately.But what I am witnessing two months after I joined is a little disappointing.I was in old Mylot also,and I think the traffic and activity then was much more than what it is now.Discussions now don't receive as many likes and comments as they used to receive then.
However I prefer to be optimistic.Let us wait for a few more months.A site like Mylot will have a tremendous traffic,I know.What do you think,friends?

As others have said, this is as if we were a brand new website, starting from scratch. Of course we do have the advantage of having an active and vast previous group of members, so it won't take quite as long. As things progress, I'm confident that in time, we will return to and even surpass our previous activity level.

@GoAskAlex_Admin,Thanks a lot for taking pains to reassuring me and others.I know very well that an excellent site like Mylot will soon be seen 'in full swing.'It's just a matter of time.People are pouring in to join.Just a few months more and the activity level here will go up.

Since mylot is a work in progress and it is new, there won't be a lot of people at first, but hopefully more will joing, and some of the old mylotters will come back and enjoy the experience we all are having by interacting. I am so glad that mylot is back too, and I am glad that I am a part of it. I am having the most fun I have ever had.

Hopefully like me, once people know that mylot is back and running more to the way that it did when it first started we will see more traffic. So far from what I have seen today I'm liking the site even more than I did at the beginning, hopefully others are feeling the same way.

@beaniefanatic,We need to realize it's the initial stage.I agree with you and all others that all we need is wait.Those who knew that Mylot was back,joined the site immediately.Those who are still unaware will know soon and then will join.Mylot is an excellent site and soon it will achieve its past glory.

Do use the 'suggest' option? I spend at least one day a week exploring and finding those members I find interesting and adding them to my friends list. But, unless they get to know you too and you use the 'suggest' to get them involved in your conversations you may be disappointed. I failed to realize you were a member now and thought you were from my old list of friends. So I have been checking over my list and found you.

@celticeagle,Till now I have never used the suggest option.Only due to lack of time.As I have a little time at my disposal,I tend to use it in interacting and starting discussions.Well,I will try to use the suggest option too.I am so glad,you finally found my name in your old friend's list.

Bubbs was like that too at first. Think of it like starting over at a new school or group. You have to build up connections and friends, over time more people will want to stop and chat.

@Jessicalynnt,I believe in what GoAskAlex_Admin has said.The site is now at an initial stage.As time passes,more people will join and the activity level here will improve.It's just a matter of time.

I agree with someguytyping in that new sites do take a bit to gain desired traffic. I think it's doing just fine actually, but I was never here before to see the difference.
Why is it that your profile doesn't show your previous activity and posts/discussions like other old-timers do? Did you delete your stuff before mylot quit before? If so, that would explain all of that.

@MarshaMusselman,Mylot is not an old site.It's the same old,popular site.However it is now created,as GoAskAlex_Admin has said,'as if we were a brand new website.' It's the beginning.We will have to wait and soon the activity here will create a new record.

@sofssu,I agree.As I said,I have to wait for a few months.It's the initial stage.As times passes,more and more people will join and then the activity level will go up.I also agree with you that often we see a lack of new discussions.Sometimes the same old discussions continue for days.But I know,things will change.And Mylot will again attain its glory.

@gregario888,that's why you have no idea about the high level of activity in old Mylot.The site you now have joined is the rebirth of that old Mylot.

I am happy as well. I used to be on MyLot and loved it but I agree, it does seem different. I think a lot has to do with all the social media sites out there for people to chat on. I am hoping it builds back up as well. I really enjoyed it before.

@else34 I agree. I didn't mean you didn't enjoy it I just know what you mean. There was alot more activity but I believe as you do, in time it will be up and busy as before!
