I am sorry to read of your loss and on the first of the year.
I try to do what I can from where I am. None of my relatives graves are near me, cant get to them, except my grannies.
I try to visit tho on a site online that people have put up with the pics of graves of strangers. I found some of my relatives there. You can leave a bunch of flowers on the page.

Do you know what cats do when they drink milk? They close their eyes. I am living life like that at the moment. My dad is 81. And everyday is a blessing. When he is sleeping and not snoring I often stare at his chest to see if it is moving. I am so scared of losing him. Dreading the possibility. I am so so sorry that you lost your dad this year. This year has not been too good to me either, though for a different reason. Still, we haven't much choice, have we?

@vandana7 I am so sorry you are going through this. It was the same with my dad. We just literally waited, it was horrible. I will keep you in my prayers. (thank you for sharing)

I know how hard it is to lose a parent. My mother and father have been gone for 12 years, but it doesn't seem like that. And some days, if I think about things too much, I can still get weepy and sad. Give yourself time, it's not something that gets better or easier right away, It takes time, and you need to acknowledge your grief.

@Rollo1 thank you so much for responding...and for the advice. I'm sure in time it will get a little better, but I don't think it will ever get easier.
I believe we tuck away our grief at some point so that we can deal with it.

There have been so many loved ones I have lost in the past few years. But it is amazing how time has helped me cope

ive lost a few loved ones this year and i dont really deal with it. i put my emotions in a box and i take that box and put it in a trunk with a lock and close it and never open it again. out of sight out of mind. that might not work for everyone

Hi Jason, thanks for responding @tomford. Sorry it took awhile to get back to you.
I understand locking it away but I haven't been able to do that. I swear it seems like yesterday....I miss him so much.
