I am very meticulous while shopping. I follow my list and buy what I need. I generally don't like shopping, so my shopping trips are really very short. I just go the the aisle or section that I need the stuff from load my cart and I am done.
I stick to my budget and never go overboard.
What kind of a shopper are you?

One that would gladly pay another to do the shopping for me. However, I haven't found anyone I trust that much.

In contrast to you , i love shopping ! I prefer shopping in actual way than online , because i want to fit and see the items myself.
But as to being an impulsive buyer , i am now reformed .
I don't go to the mall unless i have to buy something . But i love to go to the mall to buy something .

I absolutely hate shopping to be honest. I will go grocery shopping and the odd time buy something that wasn't on the list. But I don't go like some girls and spend my entire paycheque on new clothes.

I have been an impulsive buyer, but I decided that I don't and shouldn't do it, as my finances aren't the best. Now, I just spend money on what I need and nothing more.It is very easy to over spend as I have done in the past. I still like shopping, though.

I've been known to buy on impulse but since I've retired that's not an option anymore.
Now I buy online and sometimes get in trouble but it's rare, mostly I compare food prices then buy from that which offers the best price.
I hate shopping for anything other than food, but now that you've mentioned it I'm gonna haveta get me some shoes, I've worn out the ones I'm wearin.

@gregario888 That is something I like to hear from my friends.. however, most of them seem to be spendthrifts.. maybe because they have loads of money

@gregario888 Quite true.. I am always putting money off for those retirement days.. I don't want to be dependent on others. Splurging comes easy to some whether they are loaded or not.

@sofssu No sofs, you have to be very careful of the rainy day. It is easy to splurge, when your pocket is loaded. Quite in contrast, when you have to scrounge it for the shills that don't come out. I always try to be careful there.

I'm not an impulsive shopper most of the time and I try to make my shopping trips short too. But I have to admit when it's an unplanned trip I do have that inclination to buy a lot of stuff that I don't need.

@cahaya1983 That is what I used to do when I took the boys shopping.. I would never give in to their begging and pleading.. We usually would strike a great compromise.. I miss those days.

@sofssu Oh yeah, it certainly does. I try to keep it under control though. Like I'd tell them that they can choose only a certain number of things to buy on this trip and the rest would have to wait until the next trip, that sort of thing.

@softbabe44 That is so true.. We need to be good mangers of our finances, since that is in our hands. We really don't know what is in store for us in the future.

@sueznewz2 I guess if you are not buying expensive stuff impulsively you can still balance out. Sticking to a list really helps a person not to go overboard.

@sueznewz2 That is the more important part. I would hate to run out of money before the end of the month or week.

ha ha ,as a traditional Chinese , i am the one who will follow the emotion to buy anything , it will always out of control to buy something by the promotion of seller.
i am very proud of you , i need to study your methods to make a list and budget. hope that it will improve in the near future.

I can do that online but not in the store. The store has these specials that they stick in your face. And sometimes it's good that I bought some items that were not on the list. Other times, I just went too close to the bakery for my own good.

I used to be very impulsive, but money is much more important to me these days so I'm no longer very impulsive. I'm now much more careful about my shopping.
