Confederate flag

There is so much going on with this flag and what it represents. For me growing up in north Carolina and being native American to me it represents the south and the pride we have. What does the flag represent to u?

As I am from the North, it has no personal meaning to me, but I have always viewed it as a symbol of the South, and their way of asserting their pride in their part of the country. I know others view it differently. I just don't have a personal connection , it's not been part of my life in a personal way.
