If you are in your 50's or 60's, is it what you thought it would be when you were younger?

Well....that's a loaded question! I am 58 and I can tell you this is not what I expected! LOL Not in a bad way necessarily but definitely not what I thought!
I am probably working harder now than when I was in my 20's!! But I do love what I do!
How about you?

Honestly suddenly I was here at this age.
I never thought about what it would be like, so I had no expectations funnily enough.
I would say that my life is not satisfactory to me though ...

I know what you mean @TiarasOceanView! I feel that way sometimes....seems I was 30 and then BAM, here I am in my fifties!!
I can't say my life is not satisfactory it's just different than I imagined.

@happytails Welcome always Debra..yes time flys by so fast. I guess if we have good memories it helps to ease some of that dissatisfaction in life.

@ElicBxn lol I saw that movie too! Back to The Future, it's strange was set for this month in 2015, and yep, we are supposed to have hover boards, self lacing shoes and yes, flying cars!

@jerzgirl lol!!! I understand! I have always said 'I will never grow old' and like you I'm beginning to wonder!! Lol but I do love life! I believe I will live to be at least 99!!!! Keep that zest for life! And Happy Birthday!!!

Honestly, many things worked out better than what I thought though some dreams still remain unfulfilled. Some pains were never expected but happened. However, they are behind me so to say because now I can look at them clinically rather than emotionally. I know god will take care of me, however much I have disappointed him because he is the one who sent me tougher than what I could manage situations to me.

Well said! @vandana7 I believe that alot of things that have happened, all things actually, have led me to where I am. I truly LOVE what I do. Granted right now I am struggling but I believe I'll get there.

@softbabe44 I don't know what my expectations were exactly. I think I thought I would be settled, have my own home, etc. but things didn't work out that way.
